| A Pow-Wow is a social event in the American Indian community. American Indian,
men, women and children dress in their dance regalia and dance to honor their people, their way of life and their ancestors.
American Indian singers bring their traditional drums and sing Ojibwe, Lakota/Dakota and Winnebago songs. There is a Pow-Wow M.C. who let
the dancers and public know what drum group and type of song is being sung. There is also an Arena Director who coordinates the drum groups and the dancers.
